Riceviamo e volentieri pubblichiamo la lettera di ringraziamento inviata al Presidente dell’Ordine, Prof. Salvatore Amato, e al Dott. Giuseppe Valenti, a nome del Dipartimento di "Medicina Fetale" dell’Istituto di Pediatria, Ostetricia e Ginecologia dell’Accademia Nazionale di Scienze Mediche dell’Ucraina, per il prezioso supporto ricevuto.
La Dott.ssa Ganna Grebinichenko, a nome dei colleghi del Dipartimento di Medicina Fetale dell’Istituto di Pediatria, Ostetricia e Ginecologia dell’Accademia Nazionale di Scienze Mediche dell’Ucraina, esprime profonda gratitudine all’Ordine dei Medici di Palermo per il sostegno e in particolare per la donazione dell’ecografo portatile, strumento che ormai da due anni consente di effettuare esami prenatali specialistici e procedure diagnostiche invasive, fondamentali per le donne in gravidanza con patologie fetali.
Nel contesto della guerra, l’Istituto continua ad accogliere pazienti provenienti da ogni parte del Paese, offrendo assistenza anche durante i blackout elettrici grazie all’ecografo dotato di batteria. L’aiuto ricevuto dall’Ordine dei Medici di Palermo viene descritto come un segno tangibile di solidarietà e vicinanza, senza il quale la situazione sarebbe ancora più critica.
Infine, la Dott.ssa Grebinichenko e il suo team rinnovano i ringraziamenti, porgendo i migliori auguri di Buon Natale e di un nuovo anno sereno e in pace.

Dear Colleagues from Ordine dei Medici Chirurghi e degli Odontoiatri della Provincia di Palermo!
Colleagues from the Department of Fetal Medicine of Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine would like to thank You all for Your support - for Your kind words and for your help with the great US machine.
We would like to tell You that Your scanner has been working in our Department for two years - and helps us to perform expert prenatal US examinations as well as to perform US guided diagnostic invasive procedures to pregnant women with fetal congenital anomalies.
Patients are coming to our Department from all over Ukraine and we are glad to be with them in these exceptionally difficult war times. Many of them deliver in our Institute and the babies would go to pediatric surgeons or other specialists.
Luckily our Institute does not often stay without electricity, but on a few occasions portability and the machine's own battery allowed us to perform exams in a blackout situation.
Your support and solidarity is very important for us! We understand very well, that without all the help we are getting, we would have been occupied (or else) long ago.
We would like to thank You all again, and to wish Merry Christmas to You and Your families, and of course a Happy and Peaceful New Year !
